Size: One size fits most :: fits a range of heads from 19” – 23” circumferance. Finished hat measures 8.5” tall. To adjust the size try going up or down a needle size.
Yarn: 1 skein Tanis Fiber Arts Green Label Aran Weight yarn; 100% superwash merino, 115g (4oz) = 187m (205yds) or 1 skein Tanis Fiber Arts Orange Label Cashmere/Silk Worsted Weight yarn; 75% merino, 15% cashmere, 10% silk, 115g (4oz) = 187m (205yds). Sample shown in Green Label Sprout.
Needles: 16” 4.5mm circular needles

Gauge: 9 stitches and 15 rounds = 2” square in 2x1 rib.

The Bract hat makes the most of a single skein of worsted or aran weight yarn. The design emphasizes the strong lines created by the ribbing that flows from the brim of the hat into the cabled motif all the way through to the decreases. I love how crisply the decreases come together at the top of the hat, creating another layer of graphic diamonds. Fun to knit and fun to wear, Bract will be your new favourite hat!
