Iggy Peck, Architect by Andrea Beaty is one of our favourite kids books. The story is great but the thing that grabbed my attention from the very first time I laid eyes on it was the illustration by David Roberts. I became obsessed with Iggy’s sweater and immediately hatched a plan to recreate his iconic look in a sweater design that my whole family could wear. I couldn’t be happier with the cozy, graphic and cool results.
Sizes

Finished sweater circumference at chest and hip: 22.75 (26, 29.25, 32.5, 39, 45.5) 52, 58.5, 65, 71.5, 78”
Sweater is meant to fit oversized with wide upper arms. Kid model is shown wearing size 4 with 4” of positive ease. Male model is wearing size 6 with 3” of positive ease. Female model is wearing the same size 6 with 12” of positive ease. Choose a finished measurement with 4 - 15“ of positive ease.
A note about samples shown: Because I knit the size 6 sample for my husband who is 6’3” I added length to the body and the sleeves (1 extra repeat). The pattern as written does not assume that you have a 7’ wingspan as he does. For this reason, his sample required more yardage than I’ve specified.
