Lady Sunnyside - New Pattern

OK folks - lets skip straight to the exciting part shall we? I am offering my Lady Sunnyside pattern FOR FREE for one week only using promo code SUNNY on Ravelry and my pattern page. So go ahead, download the pattern and then come back here and read on for all the details. The promo code will expire at 11:59 on Aug. 25th.

Alright, so now that we've got that out of the way, allow me to go on and on about your new favourite cardigan! Lady Sunnyside is the adult version of my Sunnyside Baby Sweater. The lady version features all of the same elements that I think makes the baby version awesome - the raglan details, the cable or lace options, the garter stitch button band knit seamlessly with the body - but the lady version kicks in up a notch in the attention to detail. It takes the basic elements and then ups the ante by making it more flattering, feminine and finished with the v-neck, slipped stitch edging and wraparound button band. Just check out these details, this is the sort of thing that really makes me giddy!

Lady Sunnyside is knit from the top down with almost zero finishing (you will have to weave in ends and block. And the buttons won't sew themselves on... but that's it!) The pattern includes written and charted instructions for both the cable and lace versions, 3/4 length sleeves or full length and comes in a wide range of sizes.

I knit my zigzag lace sample in the subtle Chris Grey colourway in our Orange Label Cashmere/Silk Worsted Weight yarn. The cabled sample is knit in Green Label Aran Weight yarn in our much more variegated Lucky Penny colourway. Both yarns and colourways work really well which I think highlights the versatility of this pattern.

Oooh that edging on the button band! Be still my garter-loving heart! I will be hosting a Sunnyside KAL Sometime this fall. I've got a super fantastic dyed-to-order Etsy Update coming up next week! Details coming very soon. So I highly recommend checking that out and maybe picking up some lovely OOAK's for your very own Lady Sunnyside.

I plan on living in these cardigans as soon as the weather dips. I'm even considering knitting myself a third as part of the upcoming KAL!

There you have it. Are you ready to kick your fall knitting into high gear!? Come join me on the sunny side! ;)
