Aubade is a circular shawl, knit from the center out with 6 different lace panels (plus a border) broken up with stockinette stripes in between. it is simple and graphic and beautiful. I knit mine in my Buttercup colourway, and I am so glad that I did. Yellow is not a colour that I typically choose for myself, but knitting with it is like knitting with sunshine and nothing is better than that! The finished shawl is big and airy and when wrapped around your shoulders it's just a dream. The extra bonus with circular shawl patterns is that they double as blanket patterns! Knit in DK weight yarn this would make a stunning throw.
This is my first crack at designing a circular shawl and I think I may have caught the circular shawl bug. It's just so satisfying to take it off the needles and watch it transform into a big sunburst of beautiful lace! I hope you like it!
