So, this week's Fashion Friday post was supposed to be all about how a lovely little silk cardigan can so easily be thrown on over jeans and a t-shirt and completely elevate the look. I'm supposed to look chic yet effortless. But guess what, nothing is effortless and chic in the TFA household these days. I couldn't even fake it. I had about 15 minutes to get ready before we were heading out for dinner at a friend's place. I took a shower (with Rowan! Very spa-like). No time to dry my hair so back into a ponytail it went. That left approximately 2 minutes to get dressed and to smear on some BB cream and mascara and then 1 minute to try and snap some easy-breezy photos before we had to run out the door. Rowan was not having it.
I actually think that he adds to the photos because it shows how I actually live in my knits in real life. Very rarely do I stand perfectly posed in front of a white wall. Action shots are much more true to life.
This cardigan is awesome. It's more of a shrug really. It was originally designed to be knit in a wool laceweight yarn, but I gotta tell ya... the silk really makes it. It's perfection. I want more silk cardigans in my life.
