Pattern: Improvised toe-up socks "pattern" here. For this pair I did a 12 stitch garter stitch panel up the front and I think that's what through off my rhythm... though I do love the texture!
Yarn: TFA Blue Label Fingering Weight in a one of a kind colourway.

I've been working on these socks for months! Why is it that some projects, simple as they may be, take forever to wrap up? I think I started them back in January and just never managed to get the flow. Now that they're done, of course, I think that they're pretty rad. I switch between toe up and top down pretty willy-nilly. I think that I actually prefer top down with a proper heel gusset, but I don't know, sometimes I'm just wild and do whatever strikes me. I do find that starting with the toe is pretty satisfying. I love seeing that perfect little toe materialize so quickly at the start of a knit. Though I find top down socks easier to try on as I'm knitting, so... you win some you loose some I guess. :)
These are possibly some of my all time favourite sock FO shots! Chris was testing the settings on the camera and snapped a few shots of me fussing with my sock/pant combo and picking tiny Stella hairs off of my socks. I just love how they turned out.
