Five Things

Five Random Things on a Friday is BACK! Let’s kick it off with a bang shall we?

I made a truly perfect batch of homemade granola. It was my first time making it with candied ginger and I love it so much. My trick for good clumps is to gently pat your granola down on your baking sheet in a thin layer and do not stir! Many recipes will tell you to stir midway, I rotate the pan midway and then let it cool completely before breaking it into clumps when I put it in my container (it breaks when I lift it off the tray and poor it in anyway). Works every time. I also added my candied ginger and raisins only after the baking so they didn’t get dry.

We’ve got a kiddo home sick today and our new pup Monty is playing nurse.

Curly hair. I love it. But that one stray curl will not cooperate with me today. I admire it’s tenacity!

Mandatory sock as sleeve cuff photo. I’m knitting a handsom pair of socks with the leftovers from this sweater that I knit for my son.

We’re working on a pre-order for next week! I’ve chosen 4 of the most intriguing colourways from our 2024 Advent and dyed them up on multiple bases. Here is a sneak peak at 2. I’m hoping to get lots of swatch knitting and maybe even a sample or two started this weekend.

That’s all for today folks! I’m easing back into this blogging thing slowly. See you next week!
